Jorma Lalla
CEO at Nordic ID
Jorma Lalla is the founder and CEO of Nordic ID, a Finnish
manufacturer of mobile RFID and barcode computers.
He started his career at Nokia Mobile Phones 1983. He
worked there as a Project Manager and R&D Department Manager.
One of the highlights of these positions was participating in the
introduction of one of the first true portable cellular phones in
the world.
Jorma Lalla has inspired Nordic ID to grow to an
international player in the Auto-ID field. Today Nordic ID has
subsidiaries and offices in several European countries and in the
USA. Nordic ID has a longstanding record of presenting
ergonomically designed mobile Auto-ID devices - most recently for
developing the first UHF RFID devices with mobile phone functions
in the world. This adds to Jorma's achievements; building the
first online mobile Auto-ID solution before the time of Wi-Fi
and/or Internet-based services and being the head of the team
that built the first mobile phone, the Finnish Nokia Mobira
Talkman.
Jorma likes to speak for entrepreneurship and
promote RFID.
